Turkey Weather
Turkey generally has a temperate Mediterranean climte. Summers are hot and dry, and Winters are mild, wet and cold. Interior regions of the country are however shielded from the influence of the sea by mountains, and hence experience a much more continental climate - Winters in central Anatolia and the eastern mountains can be very harsh with snow on the ground for long periods, and temperatures well below freezing.
